Michcruiser60 0 #1 Posted September 30, 2009 I had to pick up my father in laws push mower at the shop today. While there the owner tells me that he heard Tecumseh will or has closed up shop. I've tired to Google this, but I'm only finding different plant closings for them. He also told me that Kohler will soon have their small 3-1/2,4 and 5 horse vertical engines made in China, these will look almost like the Honda engines. I guess they may be a "copy" to Honda. They are made for push mowers. Now I've got to wonder if Kohler will have all their small engines built in China? CasualObserver 3,408 #2 Posted September 30, 2009 Yep... they got out of the engine business effective Dec 15, 2008. There's a few posts around here somewhere about it.
