KB9LOR 4 #2 Posted September 18, 2009 Doesn't anyone else have any info? NAPA and CarQuest tell me the "FATF" is the very same as the "old" ATF that is supposed to go in my Electro 12 Hydro, and thoughts guys? Brian
TT-(Moderator) 1,145 #3 Posted September 18, 2009 Sundstrand hydrogear units (from mid-1973 & older) call for type A ATF. Since it is VERY hard to find, it can be substituted with Dexron III. (at least that's what I use) Mid-1973 & newer Sundstrand piston-to-piston hydro units use either 10W-30 or 10W-40 "motor oil" as do the 1100 series of Eaton units.
