Trans interchange hydro

Can anyone tell me if a hydro trans from a GT 1800 will work in a 518 ? I think it will but not sure, the GT has hyd. lift the 518 does not but that is no big deal, I just need to be sure it will bolt in and linkage will fit correctly, both should be Eaton transmissions I belive 1100's? I don't have model no.s for either tractor.

To my knowledge it should be a nuts & bolts direct swap, Kelly.

(The GT-1800 will have an Eaton 1100 series, but the 518 unit is a 700 series.)

Thanks Terry, I havn't seen the 518 yet I just guessed it would have the 1100, so all linkage should be the same? I need to pull all the parts need to make the swap out of the GT and deliver, I don't want to be short parts.

There aren't any major differences I can think of on the Eaton linkages - other than the column shift version.

Will you be installing the hydraulic lift on the 518 too? If not, I'm not sure if you can just plug the ports (probably) or if you have to connect them with a hose.
