GlenW 27 #1 Posted Monday at 12:33 AM I was always a garden/lawn tractor fan, used to collect Murray’s and now it seems I’m on the path to getting Wheel Horses. My first one I purchased from MikesHorseBarn, I bought one then 2 Saturdays ago and then Mike dropped off another one in my yard yesterday! The shiny overspray painted one had an engine that didn’t want to spark, I threw a Kohler Command on it just for the heck of it. The one Mike dropped off yesterday started after a couple tries and has really nice wheels and tires. The funny thing about this is it has been over 24 hours, the old lady has seen the “‘new” tractor but has yet to notice that it’s a different one, or she gives up keeping track. My son has claimed the Electro 12, it’s his now. 4

Well done. What's the model of the "new" one? I see a 60s PTO on a 70s hooded rig. Interesting. 8 hours ago, Sparky said: The addiction is strong…I gave up fighting it years ago! Addiction? What Addiction??? It's not like BBT and I have a dozen tractors or anything. .......... because it's more than that.........

It has the electric PTO but also has the bracket for a manual PTO… I don’t know the whole story on it. He was given a deal on two, and only wanted the one so he sold me the other one on his way home with the tractors.
ebinmaine 70,696 #6 Posted Monday at 09:58 AM @GlenW Any ID tags on it? Automatic or manual?
Mike'sHorseBarn 3,132 #8 Posted Monday at 12:40 PM It was supposedly a Raider 12, but no Raider 12 had an electric clutch and I don't think a 73 model 12 came with an electric clutch. I got such a good deal on a pair of them that I didn't ask questions lol

Whatever which way it went 50 years ago it could have also been a dealer installed option or previous owner of course.

True because it has the correct dash for an electric clutch

The beefy tires had me thinking it was an all terrain mower conversion. I put a bigger pulley on the other Raider 12 just to do it, it’s something like 5.25” nothing extreme, just to get a little more cruise speed, it still crawls in low 1. But the one I got from Mike I’m not pulley swapping. I’m going to see what some polishing will do before I think about sanding and painting… I know it won’t look perfect but may still come out looking decent with some blemishes or patina as some call it.
