formariz 11,993 #10 Posted September 16, 2009 I also have lots of great information on the magneto system and components on these engines from the same source. I will post them sometime this week. Incredibly I had this book for years and never realized what was in it.
gimgrund 0 #11 Posted September 26, 2009 I've got a 551 that I'm trying to restore and I was wondering if anyone had any information on the gasket kit for the H55D model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
1961551 2 #12 Posted September 26, 2009 hi, i am doing the exact same project as we speak. what i have found is the gaskets are the same as, the more common h60.the rings are also the same. these are available from variuos sources. what we are going to have trouble finding, is going to be part number 28803, the oil pump gasket. i have been looking for a while. do you have the model tag on your h55? i need all of the numbers, if you dont mind, to order parts for mine. my tag is missing. if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. jimmy in n.c. REDMRED 0 #15 Posted October 10, 2009 My h55b 2113 has electric start, the h55 d 2211 i have does not. i may be wrong, I believe the h55d came off of a snow throw or tiller.
Coadster32 793 #16 Posted October 11, 2009 I have an h55d that came off an ariens snowblower. It doesn't have a starter on it, but it does have the starter bumped shrowd, and the gear on the flywheel.
