hi men,

i am working on an old bronc 14.      the tranny dipstick is red.    so it has ATF in it.    back in those days there were only 2 types of ATF.     type F for fords and type A was dextron for the GM vehicles.. what type of modern ATF should go in the bronco tranny?

thank you

mike

I hav ethe same Bronco 14.  Use Dex/Merc from Walmart.  DO NOT use some store-brand name.  get the REAL VALVOLINE product. image.png.ee67d70e1ebd03e30ca21f6f9d21a1eb.png

@daveoman1966   another thing about using  VALVOLINE  LUBRICANTS , is their  recent   upgrade in cleaning  compounds ,  been after  engine varnish  and related gunk  for years , often refer to engine start up smoke , been adding  RISLON ZINC  to my oils , engine running ease , and  very thorough  oil drainage , only refer to things that  I have a lot of time on, thats also  something I  regularly run in an unknown engine on , go from  choking smoke  to  clean running , inside of a gallon of heavily treated fresh  fuel . love a chronic issue , then kill it  , pete
