wallfish 17,452 #26 Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM The belt in that torque converter should wear a little and the sides will glaze which should help to make take off a little smoother from some belt slippage in the beginning. Maybe check around to see if you can find some different tension springs for the front variable pulley to engage at a higher RPM ???? Larger rear sprocket

Larger rear sprocket The sprocket is an easy switch standard 3-bolt pattern. Was also considering upgrading the rear spokes anyways as per Handy Don suggestion. The springs, now that not sure of, have to get a picture to you of the innards, not like the one’s I’m familiar with, seems cheaply made compared to the 40’s. Handy Don 13,331 #28 Posted Sunday at 06:47 PM I saw a ‘Tube video (taken by a friend) of a fellow taking delivery of a brand new crotch rocket. About 50’ into his first ride, while leaving the dealer’s parking lot, he goes for a wheelie and flips over backward. He’s hurt and the ‘cycle takes a beating.

When I was a younger man, wheelies were all day long on any bicycle all around the neighborhood on rear wheel. I had built an English Racer about 12yrs back, figured I’d hop on and ride a wheelie right, wrong! On the ground with knee injury, knee cap on the side of my leg! I watch this one motorcyclist on YouTube, she’s always doing wheelie stunts and I cringe…

gt14rider 832 #31 Posted Monday at 02:17 PM Nice job, that looks like a hand full. How is the rear sprocket attached to the wheel? Mounted to the hub or the spokes. Remember no suspicion. I built one for a friend, had a 49cc motor, made it look like a old messenger bike. Seemed a little under powered. Looks like you got that handled. Nice job keep it shiny side up. 1

That leaves about 6 thousands of clamp space. nice job on the messenger, color is dead on! 49cc, 79cc? I may find another set of drive springs for the CVT Transmission, engage at higher rpm. Tell, ya tho’, you think everything is tight, but needs to be “good & tight!” Edited Monday at 04:30 PM by "Manic-Mechanic"
