Mounting the gage wheels differed on the different deck models over the years but the wheels stayed the same. When replacing, match the overall diameter, the bore (the diameter of the hole for the axle bolt), the length of the bore through the wheel, and any offset (where the end of the bore is closer or further from the centerline of the wheel. Look for wear on the axle bolts and replace if necessary. You might be tempted to use plastic-hub wheels thinking their load rating is adequate. My advice is to stick to steel-hub since there is a lot of side load on the wheels when making turns. Usually there are a couple of vendors at the Big Show selling deck wheels. pfrederi 18,318 #10 Posted April 12 Let me a bit contrary here. I have used some cheap Arnold (big box store) Plastic wheel on some decks. Haven't broken one yet...I am sure they will wear out sooner than OEM...BUT I can replace them 3 times for the price of a Toro Wheel.... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
