My tractor will not go into gear. If its turned off i can move the shifter thru the gears but as soon as i turn it on it won't move. I was able once to get it in gear but i had to force it alittle but then it would not stop. I had to turn it off. Can anyone help me with this please. Thanks

Sounds like the belt is not stopping when clutch is applied.

Make sure you have the correct drive belt

114860 - (HA x 93.25" or 1/2" x 93.25")

Next see if you can adjust the belt guides. They are there to make sure the belt when loose forces the slack to the engine pulley. Best adjusted to just clear the back of the belt when the belt is tight.

If you look at a parts list illustration it may help with the wire guide positions.

May be something in this service bulletin that will help

Have heard of worn shifter keys causing a problem but no experience with them.

Some pictures of the belt area with the engine both on and off might help.
