Have a new ducar 212, will not run!

Removed factory air box and muffler added a pulse pump for off board fuel tank

Upgraded air cleaner and straight exhaust-open.

I cannot get this to run at all! I removed the pulse pump went direct to gravity feed.

Checked and thoroughly cleaned the carb.

Checked fuel flow. Double checked spark and governor settings!

Open exhaust issue, no back pressure?

Too much air into the intake?

Insufficient main jet?

I am lost in this one! Really need some direction

These modifications require a bigger main jet. The free flow air cleaner will make it require more fuel.

When I did these mods to my Predator I used my set of jet drill bits to resize the main jet instead of buying new jets to try,

I was about to do that whenever I read up on a snow blower forum about waterlooboy2hp makes a kit. The jet is over-sized about a .055 then there is the old high speed adjustable needle we are all so very familiar, for 14.95 on eBay

I looked at a similar option as well, then I chose to drill out my main jet instead. Reason?? If I buy a new jet and it's the wrong size, then I'm stuck buying a different jet again. With the drill bit set, I found a bit that fit snug into the main jet hole. Put that bit back and went to the next size up. Drilled it out to that size, put it back together, fired it up. Was better but still not right. Took it back apart, went one more size bigger, put back together and it ran perfect. Problem solved & I have a set of bits to use for the next project.

One example for a bit set. This set would give you the option to go from .036 -  .039 which should let you dial it in. The emulsion tube should not make much difference.

Note: My carb has a fixed jet, there is no adjustment screw for the main jet.

I will try this kit as I like the adjustable feature. However, getting that set of drills would be a good asset.
