ahghra 0 #1 Posted Sunday at 02:55 PM 520H. Onan engine. Changed oil/ filter. Install new battery. Started the engine, ran for a couple minuets and then stopped. Will not crank to restart. Oil light blinks. All dash lights light, but after turn key to start all lights go out except oil pressure. Starter does not attempt to crank. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
nylyon-(Admin) 7,434 #2 Posted Sunday at 03:11 PM Don’t know much about the 520’s, but the for the 416’s the things that stop the starter would be PTO lever, and brake / clutch pedal. If both those are good, I would start checking to see if there is power to the starter relay when the key is turned, and work back from there. 953 nut 57,483 #3 Posted Sunday at 03:43 PM @ahghra, not all 520s are wired alike so your model number (located under the seat) would be helpful. Once we have the model number we can provide a wiring diagram of every component between the battery and the starter and be more helpful in trouble shooting. I belive this is actually what you should see. The oil pressure switch sees no pressure when key is in the run position. My 520-H had quite a few electrical issues similar to what you describe, and the keyswitch itself was most of what was wrong. Might be a good place to start.
