New to the Forum with Electro

Hey, Glen here. Some may recognize me from Facebook if you’re on it. I have an Electro12 that’s in pretty decent condition. The hydraulics work on it, the electric clutch doesn’t, which isn’t a big deal at the moment. My boy has claimed it for the most part. I’m hoping to find a cheap Wheel Horse for him or for myself to give him the Electro. I’m in Central Pa, and I’m hoping to go to the Biglerville show this year.

FYI, I keep seeing an electric horse on FB marketplace within 50 miles of York.

Yes I’ve seen that, I thought about getting it to attach a gas engine to… I don’t know if that would be a crime or not.  It looks like it uses a traditional tractor transmission so I think it could be done fairly easy..

Electric Wheel Horse doesn’t have reverse.

4speed tranny.

Reverse is managed by reversing the electic motor polarity.

Good to know, I reckon I don’t really want it then. It would be neat to just have with other tractors just to say you own it.

I stand corrected.

My statement was based on the Wheel Horse version of the Elec-Trak.

Not a crime under the CURRENT  administration (pun intended) and it may be safer for your son. Depending on the year and model, some electric Wheel Horses had no speed control other than shifting gears so it could be a handful for a little guy.
