Gilou15 23 #1 Posted March 19 (edited) Salut les gars ! J'ai deux choix aujourd'hui : -Une 416 huit vitesses 1000€ (P216) - Une C161 Auto 1300€ (K341) Que pensez-vous de En France c'est rare et cher... Edited March 19 by Gilou15
ebinmaine 70,206 #2 Posted March 19 Given the choice between the two I would choose the C160 as long as you're okay with hydros. That will be a great tractor with a great transmission and also a hydropowered lift mechanism. A 416 and a C160 are both great choices.

953 nut 57,291 #4 Posted March 19 Hi guys! I have two choices today: - An eight-speed 416 for €1,000 (P216) - A C161 automatic for €1,300 (K341) What do you think of... In France, they're rare and expensive... In my opinion the 416 would be the better choice especially if it is a 1987 or 1988 which has the Kohler engine. The eight speed transaxle tends to be trouble free for much longer. À mon avis, le 416 serait le meilleur choix, surtout s'il s'agit d'un modèle de 1987 ou 1988 équipé du moteur Kohler. La boîte-pont à huit rapports offre généralement une durée de vie beaucoup plus longue.

I have never had ANY problems with my Hydro Transmissions. I have that same tractor, it's a beast & one of my favorites. IMG_1786.MOV 1
kpinnc 13,407 #6 Posted March 19 Go with the C-161. Onans are good engines, but can be fickle and repair parts are expensive if you find them at all. 1 1
Gilou15 23 #7 Posted March 19 Thanks for all yours answers! It is a Toro power plus (Onan )on the 416 .... For the 161 : is there a difference with a 160 ? However,I would prefer Eaton than Sundstrand..and the diff 10 pinions is it reliable ..Is it really limited slip ??

Early Sundstrand, up to 1971 maybe, had the 10 pinion Limited Slip Differential. I'm quite sure from 1974 up which is what a C160 (1974 to 1977) or C161 (1978 +) could be, has the Heavier Duty well-known 8 pinion.

Last two runs of the 10 pinion was a early 1973 Raider 12 Model 1-0350 and a 1973 14 HP no name Model 1-0340 according to the list I have.
