cafoose 3,361 #1 Posted Monday at 08:23 PM What size ag tires would fit my 953? Cross reference seems to be 195/80/15. Some of the tires I see listed are for example 15 x 6.00-6. How does that translate to the size I need? What do each of the 15 x 6.00-6 numbers mean?
squonk 42,056 #2 Posted Monday at 08:34 PM (edited) Do they have to be AG style? I have these ATV tires on my 953 and really like them. I use these old 15" Truck snow tires with chains in the winter. Edited Monday at 08:34 PM by squonk 3 2

ebinmaine 70,003 #4 Posted Monday at 08:54 PM BKT seems to be making a good product from what I've read. I have some I haven't used yet. I personally use and recommend Simple tire. You'll find a 7.5L - 15 that measures just under 30" OD. There's also 5 - 15 and some brands of 6 - 15 that measure one side or the other of 26" OD. 1

Achto 28,359 #8 Posted yesterday at 12:04 AM (edited) They are not price friendly at all, but these are the tires that I put on my 953. https://www.millertire.com/6-70-15-goodyear-sure-grip-traction-4-ply/ Another option, slightly wider and a bit taller. https://www.millertire.com/7-60-15-american-farmer-traction-implement-4-ply/ Edited yesterday at 12:09 AM by Achto 1 2
953 nut 57,034 #9 Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Good Year and others have a 7.60 X 15 that is a bit beefier than the 6,50 that came on the 953. There are 5.90 X 15 but they are too small and look odd. https://www.google.com/search?q=good+year+7.60+X+15+lug+ag+tire&rlz=1C1JZAP_enUS981US981&oq=good+year+7.60+X+15+lug+ag+tire&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIJCAEQIRgKGKABMgkIAhAhGAoYoAEyCQgDECEYChigATIJCAQQIRgKGKAB0gEJNTA1OTVqMGo3qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 1

Not really, the tires on it now are bald snow tires that look like the snow tires on older cars in the 60's and 70's. When I use my sickle mower on these Tennessee hills I tend to lose traction a lot. I just want something that will grip in the mud and dirt. I'm even thinking of a six or 8 speed with low range 5 hours ago, ebinmaine said: Can you post a link? https://www.amazon.com/Deli-Tire-Agricultural-Tubeless-15x6-00-6/dp/B0CDNZMC8M/ref=sr_1_29?crid=1XR1978AZOC47&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.n6F4Uk12B5XznvOpKdQM0mSig882tiNci_XjCdhbIe7lAqgkBRLXENqgp-r1jPFnr5fcd0H0FlP0c9TpRUyoth5CBY0gr_RMhlRZO5MsX6zsLHwhIS-uPdKYYikl_aRT7bswLPG-PNpYqY_hV1hMqdKYcYXpULLFNBNL8kTQZffJXihRkLnSZzDXo3ZeXN37gFckrocMWYPd5iMerO-nF7317lcrz1D8LatGKfezD20.mjQKcv-h-SrChBcR44NbxJUgm6Hxo1ZcXx833LYMmWY&dib_tag=se&keywords=195-15%2Btractor%2Btire&qid=1741653839&sprefix=195-15%2Btractor%2Btire%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-29&xpid=1MwdrF9Sxh2WJ&th=1 2 hours ago, Lee1977 said: 15 X 600 X 6 As EB said that size tire is 15" outer diameter 6" wide and for a 6" rim. 750 x 15 would be 7 1/2" wide and a 15" rim. So the last number 6 is the rim diameter and the middle number is the width and the first number is the overall total outside diameter of the tire itself correct? Then 195/75/15 would translate to 26.52 x 7.68 x 15 or somewhere in the ballpark. Edited yesterday at 02:14 AM by cafoose

Yes it is Ed, I assumed all 953s had 15 inch tires. I just checked and the rim measures 15 1/2 at the widest point. I checked a 15 inch trailer rim I have and it measures 16.25 at the widest point. I guess I stand corrected @953 nut thoughts? Did the 953 actually come with 14 inch rear tires? I have a few GT-14s and they have 4 lug 15 inch wheels. Can I swap a pair of those to my 953? Charlie Culley sold me the pair that is on there now. I discovered they were 14" wheels.
