So this I got in a two tractor deal. Haven’t even started looking at it yet to see if it will run.  I know it’s a HH100. Not sure what year it is but I think it’s an 8 speed.  As you can see he painted everything and no sign of any info except the motor.

I think in the picture I see the serial plate.  Didn't notice standing next to it.  I'm gonna go check right now.

Agreed.

Either a 68 Raider 9 or 69 Raider 10.

Limited Slip Differential in that one!

Just  uploaded the serial plate.  Not sure what 1 and 6 mean.

The Tecumseh serial number, 7299, says the engine was assembled at Tecumseh "on the 299th day of a year ending in 7". Because of the model of the tractor, we can be sure that means 1967. The 299th day of 1967 was October 26. That's too late in the year to have gone on a 1967 model year tractor. The engine was shipped to Wheel Horse in late 1967, added to the tractor in late '67 or early '68, and the tractor was sold in the Spring of 1968 as a 1968 model year tractor.

Agreed.

67 didn't have floor boards either.

no I will see what I can do to bring them out a little more this week.  That's about as good as I could get without some other help.  I will try though for sure.  At least with SSCOTSMAN comment it should be close.  I'm just glad after looking at it the bones are solid on it for sure.

A new model number system introduced in 1968

4th digit in model number "3" + 5 = model year 8 or 1968 - 1968 Raider 9 model 1-6931

4th digit in model number "4" + 5 = model year 9 or 1969 - 1969 Raider 10 model 1-6041

4th digit in model number "5" + 5 = model year 10 or 1970 - 1970 Raider 10 model 1-6051

Another new model number system introduced in 1971

6th digit in model number on ID plate "6" minus 5 = model year 1 or 1971 - 1971 Raider 10 model 1-0300-6

6th digit in model number on ID plate "7" minus 5 = model year 2 or 1972 - 1972 Raider 10 model 1-0301-7

6th digit in model number on ID plate "8" minus 5 = model year 3 or 1973 - 1973 10hp 8-Speed model 1-0360-8

6th digit in model number on ID plate "9" minus 5 = model year 4 or 1974 - 1974 C-100 8-Speed model 1-0390-9

Another new model number system introduced in 1975 - No 6th digit

1975 C-100 8-Speed model 1-0391

Interesting choice on the color someone gave it. Looks like they did a decent paint job!

Looks like a solid machine. Well done!

The paint job isn't bad but I'm not a fan of the color.  Haven't decided what I'm going to do with that one yet.  First step is get the motor running and see what kind of shape it's in.

Pulled the carb off last night.  Cleaning it and will try to fire it up this weekend.  I need to look up the manual on this model.  It appears it has a manual choke on the carb itself.  It looks like what would be a choke cable is running to gov arm.  I have a spare carb for a k181 I can bolt up to test if the original doesn't work.  Just need to do some reading up on this engine.

That's an interesting way to set something up.

It is not unusual for the THROTTLE cable to link via a spring to the governor linkage. Possible a PO got confused?

@stvski80085  like super lube oil in those cables , incredible  temp / operational range , also look for a , linkage point to add a light coil extension spring  ?  that way  the spring will always assist  closure  ? giving you  pull assist on every move , have that set up on all my stuff , cables move with easy sliding , easy to set up , verify  how it assists , cable slide . pete

Ya, I am not used to seeing it setup like this. You could be right that the throttle is hooked to the Gov arm.  I didn't look at the dash just thought it was weird to have it hooked to Gov arm either way. I will dig into it more over the next night or two.  Carb is soaking in cleaner now.  I can snap a picture of the carb tonight and maybe how it was setup.

I am also soaking the gas tank with vinegar because it had a little rust in it.  Not real bad though.

After the vinegar, the innards are prone to flash rust. Be sure to fill it with fuel or coat the inside with some lightweight oil after you empty it and rinse it.
