adsm08 2,503 #2 Posted March 7 I'm thinking I'm going to try to dip a line Saturday morning, I just haven't decided where to go yet. Pinchot, Long Arm, or the Conodoguinit. I also haven't decided if I want to try launching the boat yet, or just fish from shore.

Too cold, too windy, I only stayed about 30 minutes.

Split all but the last monster log from my 5 white pines (40-60') lost two years ago due to Detroit Edison "trimming" them... DTE brought them down and took away everything but logs cut up for firewood... the last one was the base of the biggest tree and they cut it 4" longer than my splitter will handle. I'll probably wait a bit more to tackle that one...

I spent my morning chasing after a truck for my boy. We found a cool old Ranger for $400, doesn't run, but it's pretty solid, so it will make a good father/son project. But we had to run up to PennDOT in Harrisburg to do the title, so that was a 3 hour ordeal. One owner dead, other incapacitated, dealing with the son who has POA, dead title that had to be revived, one guy in line ahead of us didn't speak English and spent 20 minutes trying to argue the motorcycle title he brought in to get a registration was valid even though it was clearly a washed title. The paper was water-damaged and most of the data was hand-written and I don't know if he was the one that washed it, or if he really didn't understand. Super fun DMV experience today.

WHX?? 50,334 #11 Posted March 9 @Achto has a HUGE maple next to his driveway that has to come down. A limb broke off and came down right on the cab of his almost new to him Dodge. He has to hire a guy to bring it down branch by branch to avoid the house and garage. Power lines even have to come down to githerdone. We are going to have a wood splitting party so it's gonna be all saws and splitters on deck & most likely a few horses & tubs pressed into service. Pics once we get at it. 1

A couple years ago, the wife called me at work to tell me one was out back playing with the dog! Needless to say, I hot footed it home and "took care" of the situation.
