Wheelhorse 520H pto keeps disengaging

Recommended Posts

1996 520h pto keeps disengaging while snowblowing our driveway. Any assistance would be appreciated. The linkage seems frozen in place so it's not adjustable.

I’d start by soaking the trunnion and the threaded rod so you can adjust it. If you have a torch to heat it, even better.

@Rick Smith  those trunnions typically  bind up without penetrating lubrication , I also  washer up any related lever / linkage point  , to firm up its response . removed  my trunnion,s  year's ago , did a die nut rethread , and went to a HEIM JOINT  , original thread was 3/8 x 16  , die nut was 3/8 x 24  fine to match HEIM JOINT  screw on , always use  REPEDITIVE FAILURES  , as an opportunity  to eliminate  the chronic failure , just my thought , have these in place  , years now , smooth / silent  , pete

If you could provide a photo we might be able to see some issues.
