Seeking Shipping/Freight Advise

Recommended Posts

lae51967

I need to ship an 8-speed transaxle about 760 miles. Looking for recommendations on the best way to send it.  Cost is naturally a factor but also getting it there with no damage.

Thanks for any input I can get.

Lots of guys have used Fastenal with good results.

Fastenal will require any oil to be drained and the transaxle securely fasted to a skid. Their rates go by size and weight. So don’t make the skid excessively oversized. I suspect you will want to have the dipstick tube and shifter removed and securely tie wrapped to the skid.

I’ve crated a transmission and shipped it fed ex freight.  I want to say it was $150 or so.
