Front Receiver Hitch Mount

Recommended Posts

Chaz54

Some time back I bought the front receiver hitch mount pictured for the front of my 520H. I want to find another one like this or one similar. I’ve done a search here and online, but I can’t seem to find one. I know you guys can get me headed in the right direction.

Thanks,

Chuck W.

Looks like it's no longer available on eBay...

I bought three. Very high quality...

The guy near me that made them seems to have ceased manufacturing them...

Of particular value here is the “U” that fits around the Attach-a-Matic locking rod putting the lower support directly against the hitch's frame to carry a heavy load.

Can you share the dimensions? I'd ask a fabricator friend to give me an estimate to replicate it.

Stupid  question tho is why would a guy need more than one when you can just clip it on other tractors?

Three reasons:

1. I'm a moron.

2. I like my tractors ready to go for their assigned duties.

3. I sold two with tractors to good people.

4. Did I mention I like cheese curds?

Mine has two fixed supports inside to distribute the load. Made up out of a rusty Tach-a-matic Mule Drive and an $11 HFT ATV front hitch adapter.

Bonus - the "D" ring makes a great handle to mount it...

Mine's buried under the plow winch plate and winch at the moment... I'll try to remember to get some measurements when I do spring cleanup lube etc...

OK... I'll make two and you get the first experimental one that will be all boogered up & farmer welded.

I did not have them at first, but had to add them. The hitch assembly would pivot on the pull rod and the hitch would droop. I repurposed a stock pair of 1/2" WH tierods for the material. Sorry, no pictures from the inside...

I bolted my receiver on the side of the frame so I could see to hook up.      The deck and it's mule dive is still usable.

This looks like something I could do easy enough.

Thanks

Milled a square cut thru, shortened the back of the mount until it hit the rod inside and seated out the front. Weld there and several other spots of contact.....

Here's one I made. It's bolted together with a 1/2" bolt. I used a 5/8" bolt in the hitch just because I had some.

There a few more home made designs that members made that go back to the mid hitch

Lee - I like the way the mid-hitch rod is turned down at the ends - keeps it centered and gives ample material to drill the center out to accept the short portion of the stay rod. I passed on doing that as I keep the cutting deck on all summer. Can't mount both at the same time.... my version allow that.

My Raider 12 is the towing tractor as it's a little short on power with a mowing deck.  It will do it just slow, when I have another strong 12, 16, 18, and 20.

That's a 5/8" bolt that that I had.
