clueless 3,110 #1 Posted February 17 I've decided to make the 2200 mile round trip to the show after all these years. My wife said just do it, what else you got to do and that will give me a few days of you out from under my feet, damn I love that woman. So where do most of you guys stay and do you think it's to late to make reservations? 3 1
rmaynard 15,911 #2 Posted February 17 Not too late. If you want to be rowdy, contact @squonk. If you want a nice quite place to sleep with free breakfast, try Sleep Inn. Book now. Rooms fill up quickly because there are a lot of things going on in and around Gettysburg that weekend.
HyperPete 474 #3 Posted February 17 (edited) Wow, the Biglerville show must be awesome. I guess I'm lucky to live 30 minutes away. Is that also motorcycle weekend? Edit: Nope! The 2025 Gettysburg Bike Week will take place from July 10–13. Edited February 17 by Pete D

Her birthday is on or about the time of the big show and she gets rid of me for four glorious days. One year we had a Wheel Horse Quartette of @stevasaurus, @squonk @Aldon and myself sing happy birthday to her over the phone. Quality Inn, Chambersburg, PA is where a lot of us stay. stevasaurus 23,048 #5 Posted February 17 Richard's wife was very lucky to hear that Happy Birthday rendition. I only sing 2 songs with my voice..."Happy Birthday to You" and "This Little Light of Mine". 1
squonk 42,503 #6 Posted February 17 If you want noise, traffic, extra tourists running around, overpriced and packed restaurants, Harley dudes driving their bikes around the hotel at midnight, stay in Gettysburg. If you want quiet, Picnic table of knowledge, nice affordable restaurants and diners irate truck drivers who want to vacuum out their trucks, and a visit from the Sherriff to check on said irate trucker, stay in Scotland(Chambersburg) Just about the same distance from the show. Easy drive 1

It can sometimes get a little more risque' than just dad jokes, but any comedy is ALWAYS good! No matter what you bring or even if you don't bring anything, it's always a good time for everyone. 4

If you stay there, the only navigation is back to your room for the night. Snacks and soft stuff are all good too!
