Pete D 296 #101 Posted February 25 Ok, another question. I think you guys are rubbing off on me $25. 1973. This would allow me to prep & paint for my 1-0440. Worth $25? Shhhhhh, don't tell my wife!

DEFINITELY worth the $25 to have a chassis all painted up for a faster changeover. @Pete D Attach o matic is the standard Wheelhorse implement connection from 1973 up. There's 3 hitches. Front mule drive is connected to one. Then mid. And rear where a plow or tiller goes. There's are of course many other implements that use those same points.
Pete D 296 #105 Posted February 25 I bought Donna a new recliner last night, so the gears are greased for a tractor purchase! 2 2

I once said to my wife: for every tractor I buy, you can get another critter to make it fair. 8 pygmy goats, 5 dogs, 4 cats, a donkey, and a giant tree frog later- she is WAY ahead of me! 1 2

Donna would say the animals are for me, too. We have one aging beagle, and she wants nothing else, to make travelling easier. 🥺 Btw, I expect the formula for the correct # of tractors to own is the same as for motorcycles: N+1, where N is the number you currently own! 2
ebinmaine 69,969 #108 Posted February 25 The minimum number of tractors is ALWAYS a minimum of whatever number of IMPLEMENTS you have, +1. @SylvanLakeWH said so and he knows stuff. 2

Of course, there are corollaries that must be considered as well... Floor space showing in the shop? Buy... Rafter space in the shop? Buy... Wife out of town and won't notice another red thing in the shop? Buy... Bored? Buy... et cetra... Edited February 26 by SylvanLakeWH 2
