Two stage snow blower not sitting down far enough

Hi all! A two stage newbie! All I know is it’s heavy! Ok, so a 417A and a two stage. To the left (when you’re sitting on the tractor) there is the 4 hole adjustment. Ive got it set in the highest lift. Is that the problem?

That’s where I have it in and it seems to work fine. However my driveway is basically flat and I don’t have a hill or crown to go over. Perhaps the lift flag is in the wrong hole in the rockshaft?

Probably

Don't worry about being able to lift it high. You want it to float up and down in the slot when it's dropped all the way down.

For some reason I read that wrong, I thought it wasn’t going low enough. When mine is fully raised it is only a few inches off the ground.
