312H - Pump takes time to built up power

Recommended Posts

Hello There!

After starting, my 312H pump takes several minutes to built up power. Anyone have ideas? Or could it be because it is too cold? Oil levels are good.

There are manuals that specifically state that a hydro should be allowed to warm up for "5 to 10 minutes" prior to use.

WHX??

Very typical in cold weather. Especially with Eaton 1100s. What oil are you running?

10-30 mobil oil for Trans and 5-30 for engine.

I have 4 Eaton 1100s in different model Wheel Horse tractors.   Some require 10 minute warm up and some do not.    All work fine.

Like stated above, Wheel Horse recommends a 10 minute warm up to prevent any damage.
