With the storms moving across the country I'm guessing a lot of you will get some seat time. We had about 4" of heavy wet stuff overnight. With the forecast of the 30's this afternoon and rain I considered letting nature do its thing. It doesn't take long with the asphalt drive. BUT, dropping temps over night followed by several days in the teens if it didn't all go away it could become a mess. So darn, jumped on the reborn B-80 and got to playing....I mean work. The 181 purrs like a kitten and, as you all know, horsepower is pretty much a non factor when it comes to pushing snow. It never once grunted. Even moving the mess the county left me at the road.

Back inside and nature should do a nice job finishing up before the cold returns. Post pics of the 'work' you guys had to do.

My drive and yard hear in Peru Massachusetts are one big skating rink. Seems every storm we've had has had some rain or mist involved and the pending storm bearing down on the area is going to be the same with more snow and rain and then subzero and heavy winds. Luckily I have a good friend that lives just up the road that has been plowing and sanding for us this winter because I can't do anything. Good thing spring is just around the corner.

We had a good heavy 5" plow snow on Tuesday that got a couple hours of exercise for the 312H.  Sorry, no pics.

We have about 2 inches and still snowing right now at 32F.    Tomorrows temp is forecast at 50F. and Monday is 16F.  So, I may be plowing slush tomorrow before it turns to ice.

Started snowing ❄️  ☃️ ❄️ here a bit ago.

We've got the two plow tractors above along with the Ariens Commercial walk behind snowblower.

Bring it on!!!

With the last storm dumping rain and snow, I plowed off the slush. The driveway is all ice now.

This next storm will be interesting.

I'm about 37 miles Northwest of @Ed Kennell and we had on and off heavy snow from about 10:30 this morning until 2:45. Everything that managed to lay in the driveway, all 1/4 inch of it, melted away as soon as the rain started. It's not even slush, it's just wet, so tomorrow will be interesting.

Just as well that I didn't have to plow anything today, I just got the parts for the hydraulic repairs out of the mailbox about 15 minutes ago.

Just started snowing here in Maine. Already stacked in piles from previous storms. We will most likely lose power. Snow , sleet and freezing rain headed our way. Should be interesting.

Woke up to 5" of snow on the ground. Got the blower out & cleared it out so I could go about my day. Was gonna scrape the pavement clean with the C145 but it was still snowing so I didn't really see the point. Left home to get some work done, came back home to another 3" on the ground and no snow falling from the sky. Got the blower out to clean up again, then the C145 went to work scrapping all the pavement clean. Got done just in time for it to start snowing again. :eusa-doh:

Sold both snowmobiles years ago. Thanks for the offer. We won't be leaving the house with a power outage. Need to keep both stoves going. Plus, it would turn an hour and fifteen minute ride into hours.

Hi Darb how have you been? How is winter treating you? Hoping we have a better March. Looking forward to spring.Take care and be safe out there on the farm.

I don't plow I blow ...

Used to plow, truck, 4 wheeler tried it all,  in years of much early snow always ran out of real estate to stack it.

Finally got 6-8 of nice fluffy stuff First time the rigs have  been out in months. Probably the root of my recent Onan carb problems and one bad thing about having dedicated sno machines. No snow = no seat time = varnish in carbs.

I do have a 502 with a fine running 6 hp Tecky for extended seat time and cleaning up the edges. :)

Just amazes  me the traction I get with 6-12s and not much for weight. .

BTW this was a $100 tractor ... PO didn't think it was suitable for plowing

I'm really surprised at how much snow my 654 will push also. And I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones who's 6hp Tecumseh always starts up easy & runs great. I have 95lbs on hitch along w/my 200lbs on seat. The zig zag tires both good. Paid $450 for my 654 & seller drove 2hrs to deliver it! I like the smaller size for my needs both mowing & plowing. My neighbors across street have a newer John Deere box store tractor.  Even w/22hp it struggles to push snow.

Now that is a snow blower Big and beefy 13 to 14 hp of mean grunting B/A>> blower rated at 50’ Eric. Not made for an old guy like me. But I keep it looking like new. Gives me something to do. Let me know how much snow you have up there in snow country.

Jim Darb is a great guy. Docwheelhorse aka Tony and I went to see him this past summer. To look at a few tractors he had. Had a great visit. Have a great day stay safe up there.

Cleared around 3-4 inches... of rain throughout the week.  No pictures but I'd did it without moving any horses:)

We had three or four inches followed by heavy rain. Plowed the slush off the driveway and the street-side sidewalk this morning. Deep freeze starting tomorrow.

Similar mix here snow yesterday sleet rain over night  (40 degrees now high temp for the month)  Plowed 4 inches of slush .  it was seriously heavy, the big D series blade dragged down the M16.  Teens an 20-40 mph wind tonight the slush piles will be solid in the morning. Will not break freezing again until next Sunday.  Going to be a tough week...

Got warm enough to melt all the slush, so no need to plow today.      Sub freezing temps start tomorrow and last for a week or more.
