$100 Amazon Inverter Plasma Cutter

Recommended Posts

Pullstart

I took a gamble.  I’m not normally one for cheap tools.  So far, I have a feeling this’ll be worth having around the shop!  Huge time saver and energy sipper.  Especially, when I noticed my oxygen tank on my torch set is empty…

I got thinking about the S setting on the tool.  It might be for Sine Wave, or frequency.  What the little electrical gremlins are shooting, and how often.

Cool Tool.       Looks like it did the job without even reading the instructions first.    Looking forward to the 1/2" plate demonstration.       :woohoo:

That means I’d need a new welding helmet!  For most jobs, I won’t be under a car and lighting will be better.  :happy-partydance:

Discusting young'un.  Assembled the machine on the bare concrete floor, bouncing up and down to get tools like it was nothing!

Those plasma cutters are handy tools.  Now I know I've got one only an hour drive away.:D

Probably just legal mumbo-jumbo that comes down to if you get hurt; don't blame us.       :soapbox:

Man, not even sneakers are good enough when using one of those.

I was cutting pieces out of an aluminum sheet last summer for a project for a friend and popped a piece of slag through the top of my New Balances. Yikes!

I bought one of the Lotos branded ones off Amazon a few years ago. I don't recall the cost, but it was way less than I expected.  That thing has been a revelation. I can't imagine not having one now.  My first project with it was making a custom flat top griddle for my Weber gas grill. I was thinking about buying a Blackstone, but didn't like the cost or adding another apparatus to the "grill patio".  So instead, I spent the money on a plasma cutter and made this out of 1/4" plate I picked up from the scrap yard
