Sparky-(Admin) 21,925 #1 Posted February 11 Decided I wanted this Dewalt kit, my wife ordered it from Amazon at 9:05am today. And it was dropped off on my porch TODAY at 6:15pm! Incredible! Sears really missed the boat on on-line shopping, they could have been “Amazon”. 4
WHX?? 50,561 #3 Posted February 11 Oooohhh Nice kit .... I'd waited a year for that! Eventually yer gonna want the bigger batteries & pair the set with one of their flashlights.
SylvanLakeWH 27,248 #4 Posted February 11 I have two of those kits one for the house /basement and one for the garage...but with 4 ah batteries... added 2 of the flashlights as well... they are excellent...
WHX?? 50,561 #5 Posted February 11 Problem is like the other brands they want your first born for those batteries and don't get the cheaper knock offs Sparky. I have seen them blow up in the charger. 2
SylvanLakeWH 27,248 #6 Posted February 11 I wait for the deals where you basically buy a battery and get the tool for free...! The other option I have is my mower and snow blower are Dewalt 10 ah and 12 ah batteries... interchangeable with all Dewalt hand tools... so I can run them for a loooong time...

I have the chainsaw and the 1/2” impact, both with the big batteries. So four batteries and three chargers …so far

Or more batteries, that definitely comes in handy. 32 minutes ago, SylvanLakeWH said: I wait for the deals where you basically buy a battery and get the tool for free...! It is a definite perk that the massive weedwacker batteries fit the drill/impacts too. Your arm gets tired before the battery dies. I’ve got the 1/4 and 1/2 inch impacts, the mini hand skillsaw, the weedwacker, and a drill, all 20V. The three chargers for that stuff, usually have at least 1 battery on one them most of the time. I used to work for Sears in the mid 00’s. The turnover in my department was insane. I do miss it as well, it definitely had a unique feel to it. Handy Don 13,266 #11 Posted February 11 Wondering who’ll be the first to post a video of their WH being started up by one of these batteries--and have a charger mounted up, too.

OutdoorEnvy 1,730 #16 Posted February 11 I got the same kit at Christmas! I dropped my last impact driver doing garage door repair and it broke. But timing was right for a black Friday deal on this kit. So far so good with it. I miss the Sears days too. They were always at the malls around here and the guys could kill the time in there while the ladies hit every store 2

We have a decent assortment of Ridgid tools. Batteries are constantly being swapped around because BBT can't sit still.

Beap52 1,142 #23 Posted February 11 SEARS, our parents would take us downtown Kansas CIty when we were kids to buy our school clothes. My favorite part was the fellow selling tamales from a cart on the street. K-Mart, not much of a fan but the one in St Joseph, MO was were I learned about subway type sandwiches and bought my first 410 single shot model shotgun. While batteries have been brought up, I had to replace the battery in wife's Durango. What the world?! TWO batteries! Yep, a normal looking battery and a battery about half the size of lawn tractor battery. The combined cost $450--and I installed them myself in the heated shop where i buy tires and batteries. I told the owner if someone wants him to install a battery in a Durango, tell them to go to Orielly's. They are buried under then front seat. I had read that some vehicles don't like not have a battery providing power all the time so I connected a jump starter to the battery connections under the hood just to be sure didn't mess settings on the car's computer. The Duango is a 2016, we've owned it since 2018 and I believe these were factory batteries. The little battery, I kept for generator at home.
