ri702bill 8,654 #2 Posted Wednesday at 03:00 PM Hmmm.... IF you load it by flipping the hitch drawbar up and the have to lever it down onto the ball, there is a potential to have it get away from you , suddeny go vertical due to the weight of the log, & clock you in the face..... Most folks would only do that once.....

peter lena 8,957 #5 Posted Wednesday at 04:34 PM @ri702bill would make that drawbar set up , on a mount area swing point , can easily see that , also think my grandson could easily figure that out , he would be doing the welding , adding his own insight , pete

Most folks would only do that once..... Some designs, there are some pictured in the search, have a rail that the chain set rides on. You load it all up chained tight with the skidder backed up a ways. When you pull forward, the chain rides up and lifts the log. Now if we could only figure out what size chain would stand up to a Wheel Horse… 1
