AHS 1,482 #1 Posted February 5 Ok, I was doing hydraulic lines and pulled the PTO switch and the seat switch… anyway i got it all back together and turned the key and nothing. I think its one the switches. I cant find model # 31-17KE01 on here in the manuals. It’s stupid simple, i just want to make sure that im testing in the right place! I went onto part tree.com and typed in the number and it bring up the exact wiring harness that i have. It doesn’t have the oil light and the test. Can anyone point me to the manual? Thank you! gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,194 #2 Posted February 5 We do not have the 1985 manual. This is what we have for the 31-17KE01. The search results are in no particular order so look through them all. No wiring. https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?&q=31-17KE01&type=downloads_file&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy This is what we have for 1986 wiring. Click on the picture below and one of the thumbnails shows the switches if the wiring is the same. A start problem will be the pto switch. The seat switch controls the ignition. Half the pto switch for starter and half for ignition. Ignore wiring going to the indicator light board.
AHS 1,482 #3 Posted February 6 Ok! Frustrating!! There is two wire connections on the PTO, seat and brake lever. Simple! I have checked. The PTO with my multimeter, all set!, the seat; has the connection on it “jumpered” as you can see in the picture. The brake lever has always been pushed when i start it. I have no idea what’s going on! You turn the key and nothing. It has power to the key switch, the lights work and the hour meter works. What am i missing? The brake pedal has to be pushed forward to start these... but where does that switch lead? 1 hour ago, AHS said: You turn the key and nothing. Can you confirm with the test light that you're getting power BOTH in to and out of the brake pedal switch? If so, find where that goes.... Check that piece.
