We need to celebrate this EVERY day

Happy National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day! Surprisingly, this holiday was invented in New York in the middle of the winter. Created in the 1960s (clearly, because it’s a groovy idea), the day is further proof that you can eat ice cream at any time of the year, any time of the day, and on any occasion. So on the first Saturday in February, go ahead and get your treat on. Before noon. We won’t judge.

In a recent study in by Kyorin University professor Yoshihiko Koga, people who consumed ice cream for breakfast showed better reaction time and were able to process information better than those who did not have ice cream. Delving deeper into the science, Koga found that the people who had ice cream first thing in the morning had an increase in high-frequency alpha waves, which are associated with higher levels of alertness and reduced mental irritation.

Vitamin A, B, C, D and E are found in every scoop of ice cream. Thiamine and niacin are much needed by the body as well—and guess where you can find them? The Vitamin K in ice cream can help reduce blood clots as well.  Taking your vitamins never tasted so good. So throw away those nasty gummies and have a scoop of what the doctor ordered!

I went to the grocery store to do the food shopping yesterday early morning. Came home with everything but one, you guessed it the Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate combo by H.P Hood, figures no ice cream this week. Thanks for reminding me Richard .  :eusa-think:

Hmmmm.  We are going to have breakfast at our favorite diner this morning.  Think it would be appropriate to have a piece of cherry pie with a scoop of ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce to celebrate?

Having read above: people who had ice cream first thing in the morning had an increase in high-frequency alpha waves, which are associated with higher levels of alertness and reduced mental irritation.

and along with the sugar high of pan cake syrup and the boost from strawberries because Strawberries, along with other antioxidant-rich berries, have been shown to play a significant role in enhancing cognitive function that every employer should provide this to every employee!  We could double employee output--at least until break time.

Oh how nice it would be to eat ice cream for breakfast even once a week!

...Of course I would probably tip the scales at 450lbs.

But as I get older- part of me doesn't care? :P

Having grown up in central New York I remember stopping at Friendly's on the way from church to my grandparents house every Sunday. They had some flavors that weren't even offered by Howard Johnson's when they were boasting about their 28 Flavors.

If you haven't had them, do yourself a favor and checkout the Hudsonville ice creams, they are great.

Hudsonville Peanut Butter Waffle Cone Ice Cream, 48 fl oz, 1 Count

Hudsonville Traverse City Cherry Fudge Ice Cream, 48 fl oz, 1 Count
