pascal Plancke 8 #1 Posted January 31 Hello, I have recovered a 1977 Wheel Horse C-160/ Kohler K301S, 12hp, nb 47421d serial nb 7382379 equiped with a 3 blades landmower. There is no need to send here a picture as it is such bad condition. Nevertheless, i wish to put is it back on its wheel. I have started to check what is needed as spare parts: - a clean air box and filter is missing. And idea of what parts number/ references are needed ? - the carburator bottom tank is leaking. Where to find a new one in France? - the friction cluch disc is worn. What size ( Diam.) and thickness shall i put in? - the oil filter? No idea where this is located nor what part number to use. Any advise? And is it still possible to find a sketch of the landmower ? Thank you very much in advance to whom may help me Regarrds

Ed Kennell 39,585 #4 Posted January 31 So it is a C-160 and the 16 HP K-341 engine has been replaced with a 12HP K301. There should not be an oil filter on the engine or transmission.

rjg854 11,659 #6 Posted January 31 @pascal Plancke Any picture of a tractor is a good picture, condition has nothing to do with it. Also helps us to see what you're working with and better diagnosis what it needs. 6

pascal Plancke 8 #11 Posted Sunday at 11:29 AM Hi All, Thank you for your welcome and messages. The side labels clearly indicate C-160 8Speed. But yes, the engine is a 12HP. (so C-120). May be it has been exchanged sometimes... I have not yet seen any oil filter. But so many things are missing. And not easy to find them around here in the middle of nowhere in France. Abviously form what is see on the websites/ webshops that some parts re discountinued ; - the clean air filter box assembly (KH 235100 and KH235) in ex. I also miss: - The carburator bowl (2004185 ?) , -I am also trying to find out what belt size i shoud buy. I think they are 4L 820 (main drive) , 3V1035 and 3V860 ? -The clutch friction disc is also not the guenine one. I has been replace and put in with rivets (diam 6.77') and I can tell what as the original thickness... Good heavy work for the coming days ... Hello Dave, When you say that you have the same, do you mean that your C-160 is also fitted with a 12HP (Kohler K301S)? And where do you find the 71-16KS01 number? regards Pascal

Drive belt for 71-16KS01 should be 5L840 which is a 21/32" wide by 84" belt. Oil filter for trans goes right behind the trans pulley. Wix 51410 is a number you may be able to cross reference over there. For the fuel bowl you can use a Briggs & Stratton 221995. fits perfectly.

It helps me to go further in rebuilding this machine. (No problem to find these ref. or equivalences) Regards Pascal 2
