Brockport Bill 1,767 #1 Posted January 28 i am considering a mower deck leaf discharge unit on a 42 sd mower. I am interested in any insights of the units effectivenes, relability etc? the unit is on a 42 sd ------- I have had a 312-8 with a 37 sd deck since bought new in 1989 and its very effective but of course there is no assisted discharge power - instead it discharges into bagger powered by lift blades and works great !!! this 42 sd unit is belt driven so wanted to uderstand anyones comments on its capability - considering getting for a wh tractor for my daughters yard - thanks see photo

TonyToro Jr. 1,711 #3 Posted January 28 I had it on my 310-8. Did awesome! The only complaint is we had to switch the spindle shaft for the longer one to fit the double pulley. Other then that no complaints. Awesome for sucking the leaves on the fall. IMG_3136.mov
Moparfanforever 868 #4 Posted January 28 I have one on a 48" deck and I love mine. I use it in the fall on leaves and grass and spread it on my garden and till most into the garden. The rest I just leave laying on the garden. Mulch!!!
