Up North yall are flooded with old iron, down here theres really not alot of options...stuff gets listed and it sits on there until the price gets low enough to entice buyers.  Id venture that you could list a 420LSE for $2000 here and it wouldn't sell, you wouldn't even get offers.

Correct also have to keep in mind the cost of living up in the northeast is absolutely disgusting and not fully comparable to other parts of the country.

I wonder why that is, theres no shortage of money down here, people regularly go out and buy 10,000 dollar Zero Turns, 5,000 dollar lawn tractors, homes are grossly overpriced...but its still somewhat affordable compared to other parts of the country.  Groceries are obscene, insurance here is the highest in the nation because of Hurricane coverage.

 

I do hope 88-98 Chevy trucks get back down to pre-covid prices again soon though, i miss being able to buy a 155k mile 454 Dually with no rust, no body issues, running and driving for $2500🤣

I bought my 6 horses over time several years ago. Paid between $400 and $600, some with implements and also included a sweet 416 and very nice C160. Enjoyed the hunt as much as the tractors! They are workers but I take care of my stuff. Lately the prices are much higher and the junk is listed at $400 - $600. Here in the south there just are not as many as up north and midwest but the overpriced here are not selling.

Yep, they just sit.

 

A few years ago I listed my clean low hours 416-H with 42 deck and Tiller for $700...just to test the waters, never had a single call or message.  Keeping it was the right idea though.
