raised the blast cabinet up on 4x4's.

Yep something I should have done and may come to that. Lately I have other issues with my blaster setup and need to head down to the basement and dig up that blaster mods thread.

Back used to hurt after standing in front of the blast cabinet for extended periods of time.

My wife and I (and our children) are tall. When we built our house, we installed the kitchen and primary bathroom counters and cupboards 2 inches higher than standard. Hugely easier to use.

When my very not tall now-DIL first visited she joked that maybe she needed a small stool.

Trina, at 5 ft 6 in, and her daughter, who is 5 ft 8 in, are the two tallest people in their bloodline.

Trina's mama is a good strong Solid 5 ft 1 in.

6 or 8 years ago Trina bought us a new washing machine. Absolute bottom of the line inexpensive top loader with limited amounts of features that can break.

Her great big giant mama can't reach the bottom of the washing machine while standing in front of it so she built herself a little platform about four inches tall.

Massive people. Just massive.

And here I am at about 6 ft 1 with fairly flat shoes and a non-exaggerated TWICE the weight of most of her family. Think I stick out at get togethers?

2 15/16" bore will be in order.

Did you even bother to look for the small bore rings if that's all it needed?  I thought I found some in my 161 hunt but not in oversize. Since the bore needed work anyway.

Rebuild kit came in on Thursday, engine block went to my machinist on Friday. He says about 2 weeks, hopefully he's on schedule cause that should be about the time I'm ready to make some red paint fly.:handgestures-fingerscrossed:

Busy dealing with snow most of the weekend, but I did find time to spray some primer on the sheet metal. 1 coat of self etching primer & 3 coats of 2K urethane primer.

Enjoying this build as my Dad had a 633. That's me sitting on his lap in my profile picture back in 67 or 68.

Back used to hurt after standing in front of the blast cabinet for extended periods of time. We raised the blast cabinet up on 4x4's. Game changer ! Much more comfortable now, plus the 4x4's added a raised point to put your one foot on.

I had the same issue when I had a cabinet. This solved it.

@Achto Were you able to find a Rebuild Kit with the shorter 2.5” stroke undersize rod.

The stroke on the 6hp & 7hp is the same and they use the same rod 2.5". I did not have to turn the crank so a standard rod will be used.  The smaller bore 2 7/8" parts of the 6hp are hard to find. I'm boring the block out to 7hp size 2 15/16.

8hp has a longer stroke of 2.75 but uses the same piston as the 7hp
