peter lena 8,950 #1 Posted January 11 been looking for a tubing HOW TO , realise this detailing is much more than we need , BUT look at the solid held leverage , held movement point , you want the lower half of the bender , mot the upper half swing setting , held in place , pick one up used or cheaper , hunt around , pete
JCM 9,842 #2 Posted January 11 I learned how to bend in 1978. Boy that would have been nice to have it right up tight like that. No not like a monkey playing with a football like I had to do. Learned the hard way for sure. 1
peter lena 8,950 #3 Posted January 11 @JCM interesting , how in all my years on the deck at work , my knees never bothered me , but as I was coming to the end , would regularly bring a , very firm foam pad , diamond plate flooring , is brutal on knees , pete 1
JCM 9,842 #4 Posted January 11 I started to feel it when I reached 30. Figured it was a good time to use a piece of crude foam, was all we had then. Now 36 years later there are some nice kneeling pads out there. If I hadn't used one at 30, I'd be in big trouble. Not too bad now. Time will tell.
peter lena 8,950 #5 Posted January 11 @JCM best foam is , very dense BOAT SEAT FOAM , also rated as a life preserver , it actually feels hard to the touch , but kneeling on it is wonderful , if you have a boat trim shop in your area , you might luck out for odd shape scrap pieces , also use them in my chairs for elevated seating , easier stand start , also great to hold freezer pad , in chair against back / hip , etc , go foamy , pete
peter lena 8,950 #6 Posted January 11 @ebinmaine realise this is overkill , but the free to move leverage side , is killer for any bend , as usual , picture is worth a thousand words , going for a walk , pete
