Lawn Mower Snow blower String trimmer Pole saw Chain saw Pruning shears Hedge trimmer Drills Impacts Sawzall Flashlights Circular saw Went this route for single battery interchangeability. All functional beyond expectations for my needs as a suburban homeowner. Extremely convenient and quiet. Zero maintenance. Are they "green"? No. As noted above, batteries ain't green. Are they "greener" than 2-stroke equivalents? Maybe, probably, I don't know... On top of that are the fears or worries about the real or imagined motives of those promoting the change (e.g. profit, political control, conformity, class superiority, even benevolence!) and the impacts those might have on the individual’s chosen lifestyle. The world is an immensely complicated and interconnected place few if any of us really grasp. Just this morning I read of Chinese textile workers laboring 10-12 hours per day with one day per month off just to make ends meet. Who benefits? Global consumers paying $8 for a tee shirt or $15 for a pairs of slacks and the entire supply/delivery chain. For some intelligent insights in to the battery vs. fossil conundrum, I’ve found some episodes of the first two seasons of this podcast both informative and discouraging.
