GWNORTH 7 #1 Posted January 7 I took the Augers off the blower and saw that the previous owner had used regular 3" long bolts through the augers. The toro parts lookup shows - 11 HEX HEAD (HH) SCREW Part #: 322-14 The same on Parts Tree. So, it appears that there are no Shear bolts for this unit? Perhaps that's why the Impeller was mangled so bad. Does anyone know where to get 3" Long shear bolts for the auger(s) on the 44" 2 stage blower? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

GWNORTH 7 #3 Posted January 7 Right... I read that thread awhile back, but didn't see anything regarding if anyone has seen them on a 44" or where to get 3" long shear bolts for the two augers. It mentioned cutting grooves in regular bolts. I've looked online for 3" long by 5/16" Shear bolts , Nada. I would feel better with shear bolts in there, since I am refurbishing all of the moving parts right now and would hate to see the impeller on the 2nd stage get mangled again. Achto 28,083 #4 Posted January 7 If you can not find regular shear bolts, then I would suggest using some grade 2 bolts. I like to call them "butter bolts". 1mor Project 82 #5 Posted January 8 It's been a long time since I used my 2 stage blower, but I have grade 2 bolts in that. I would do my main plowing with my 8N, then blow some of the piles back over the edge of the hill. This was packed piles and they sheared more than once. Frustrating, but I didn't bend anything.
