dclarke 4,046 #26 Posted January 6 I prepared for the big forecasted snow too. I made sure the blower would start, checked the gas cans, packed the car and drove to Florida. So far so good.

AlexR 845 #29 Posted January 8 My horse is patiently waiting. But most snow I have gotten so far was less then 2 inches. It seems everyone to the North, South, East, and West of me has gotten tons of snow. But here in northern Indiana it's just enough so they throw salt on the road, but not enough to push or blow. This what we have gotten today.
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,362 #30 Posted January 10 Speaking of weather…y’all folks up north need to come down and get your weather, she got drunk and ended up in my front yard last night Would be a good day to burn the brush in the pit out at the farm, but instead I’m stuck at work. Sure glad we sold the last of the wreckers we had before this came in. Someone else can have all of that fun

They plowed my road 5 times this morning, removing almost 0.2 inches each time. Burning the old fuel and sharpening the blades. You left out widening the road!

I've put a jamb nut on to keep it tight, and this last time it was a Nylok that came off. I've also had the trunnion break. But the most annoying thing when you are in the middle of the road is to have the steering tie rod break. Use 2 locknuts. Drill a hole through the remaining threads and install a spring clip

Ed Kennell 39,449 #35 Posted January 11 (edited) 3 more inches this AM got me another hour of seat time on the 312H plowing the Hood. Edited January 11 by Ed Kennell
rjg854 11,630 #36 Posted January 11 About the same for me too, Ed, but I didn't bother to take any pictures. No more than got done with the driveway and started moving furniture that the little lady had sold.
953 nut 56,392 #37 Posted January 11 We had a slow steady snowfall yesterday and lase evening totaling about four inches. While I was plowing a front tire on the 418 went flat so it was a bit challenging but the driveway is cleared. Now it is up to the county to clear the road. Oh well, Sunday and Monday are forecast to be in the mid 40s so it will melt away then.

Forecast temps are below freezing for several weeks, but maybe the winds will blow it away again.
Bar Nuthin 853 #39 Posted January 11 The weather forecasters finally got it right for NE Indiana. Not a ton of snow, but 4" or so made for a great learning experience - first time using my C-120 to plow 3
Racinbob 11,383 #40 Posted January 11 (edited) It wasn't much, maybe 3" but it was the first chance for me to attack it with the reborn 76 B-80 that is now designated the year round blade tractor. I plowed this then came in for a bite to eat. I was waiting for the county to do the road. Even though it was still below freezing the sun hits that asphalt and melts/dries things up quickly. After I ate. Edited January 11 by Racinbob 7

If I hadn't masked the audio, you would have heard my camera-wife expressing the same thing! Definitely nice having an Automatic in my situation - one less thing to focus on. But yeah, definitely not ideal.
