Mark siebenaler 107 #1 Posted Saturday at 08:17 PM I recently acquired a k241as 10 hp That was removed from a jd 210 It has a very shallow oil pan maybe one inch deep. My question is with this oil pan would it ever work in a wheelhorse tractor? Or do I need to find a deeper oil pan.

squonk 41,604 #3 Posted Saturday at 09:25 PM If you found a deep pan that would work you would also need the connecting rod with a longer oil dipper.

oliver2-44 9,907 #6 Posted Sunday at 01:27 AM (edited) The mid1960's ( 1045 if I recall correctly) use a flat shallow 1" pan to fit the 10hp large block kohler under the hood. The connecting rod had a short dipper on it. Edited Sunday at 02:21 AM by oliver2-44

ebinmaine 68,742 #11 Posted Sunday at 02:25 PM I believe you have 2 options. 1. Use that just as it is by adapting the existing bolt holes to the Wheelhorse frame with a plate and set the correct height. 2. Get a setup from a Wheelhorse of the 1978 ish to 1982 ish period and use that lower frame adapter with solid mounts. Personally I'd try the first. If you do decide to swap that oil pan I'd be interested in buying the one you have now.
