953 nut 56,091 #1 Posted Saturday at 01:05 PM Though the origins of spaghetti are disputed—whether it was Marco Polo bringing back culinary invention from the East, and Arab trade-route delicacy, or a home-grown Sicilian treat dating back to the 12th Century—we can all agree that a cold night with a big bowl of noodle-y, saucy goodness is balm for the soul. So, join us on January 4th as we celebrate National Spaghetti Day with this amazing dish! 1
JimSraj 446 #2 Posted Saturday at 04:12 PM Back when I was in high school 1965-7 I worked at a veterinary hospital as kennel boy and surgical assistant. On several occasions we had large dogs come in with stomach torsion. Most times it was due to eating spaghetti. The vet would have to open the abdominal cavity and relieve the twisted stomach by piercing it and then tacking it to the peritoneal lining to prevent it happening again. I remember one case vividly. When the vet made the incision to open the cavity he knocked the stomach, bc it was so bloated, and the contents exploded all over the OR. Guess who got to clean that mess up?

I was somewhat hesitant to use that video because dogs and cats can't digest large quantities of pasta or bread very well. I used it because it was the funniest spaghetti video I could find.
