ohiofarmer 3,280 #1 Posted January 4 (edited) I usually push snow with my blade kept straight and peel snow from the edge and then push it a distance to the pile. That causes more side load to the plow frame and I have installed limiting blocks to the front end pulley unit in the past. That allows the lift bar to work while taking the swing and stress away. The unit is not quite strong enough as it is built from plywood and angle iron. I am wondering how you guys solved the problem or if Wheel Horse has a purpose built solution.I just had a thought that perhaps brackets on the front axle with limiting chains might do the trick. peter lena 8,933 #4 Posted January 4 @ohiofarmer plowing is half pushing / half slide off , regularly plow way past my clearing area , so every movement has a place to go , also have my blades , clean and oil finished , no rust or dragging finish , that alone is like adding free HP ! have a sun / shade driveway situation , move it while you can , so sun can melt it down , that alone has made me look at plowing , with a place to put it . think that blade slide off alone , lets me back cut all my tough spots , also road to edge of lawn . don't have a , plow centering , guide pin , not that its a bad idea , but my snow release , is very smooth / easy . think if I was regularly , impacting heavy loads , would add a plow limit , pin / guide . pete

ohiofarmer 3,280 #6 Posted January 11 These tires are great I got them for forty the pair from a surplus go cart site and they are four ply and speed rated. No chains needed and Long term plan is to add the other blade to abC,160 auto and make a centering bracket for it. The Predator 420 is an excellent engine and can be counted on to start the second pull regardless of the weather I have never used a battery to start it because there is no need to put one on when it starts so easily
