squonk 41,649 #1 Posted January 3 (edited) There has been a hole in my heart and life since my beloved pooch Bryant died suddenly last Sept. My wife talked me into adopting another dog to keep our coonhound Bella company. So last week we went to the shelter and met a dog with the same pink nose that Bryant had. Faith is about a year old and has a lot to learn but she's off to a good start already. Edited January 3 by squonk 6

c-series don 9,063 #5 Posted January 3 Since my family and I are spaniel people, years ago we rescued Jake. He was five years old and came from the New England Springer Rescue, and we were his fourth home. When my wife brought him home from Massachusetts the first thing he did was walk in my bedroom, lift his leg and piss on my bed! Since we already had one springer a fight ensued and Jake quickly became the Alfa dog! After that fight they never fought again and became friends. Coming to us he was disheveled with matted hair and looked generally neglected. After a trip to the groomer and lots of love he quickly settled in and became part of the family. To this day I have no idea why we were his forth home? He never did anything wrong. The last two years of his life he developed diabetes and required two shots a day at $4.00 per shot. Eight dollars a day for two years adds up but he was well worth it. Long story short, our rescue dog provided my family with tons of love and although he has been gone for over ten years he is still sorely missed ❤️

She's done a couple of spin outs and somersaults. We had the leash off later in the day. Trick is getting her to come back in .
