GWNORTH 1 #1 Posted Thursday at 02:36 AM Greetings : I picked up a 44" Snow Blower to mount on my recent Barn Find 416-8. I am in the middle of deconstructing the blower, replacing bearings, etc. The confusing issue for me is WH I.D. numbers versus Model Numbers . There is an I.D. Number on the blower but no Model number. When searching for parts online, quite often a Model number is required. Also I found that when searching for diagrams or parts I have to insert a Hyphen after the 1st two Numbers to get results. 0644sc01 has to be entered as 06-44sc01 in order to get results. My Question - Is there some kind of reference list somewhere that lists I.D./Model numbers? AND what is the 60085 refer to on the label ? Thanks for replies.
Bar Nuthin 703 #2 Posted Thursday at 03:52 AM I'm not certain, but I think that serial number fits in with the 1990 model From the manuals section... 1990 serial numbers that have shown up for the 06-44SC01 0060043 0060168 0060172- Build date 1989 9276 October 03 Tuesday 0060180 0060237 - Build date 1989 9289 October 16 Tuesday 0060265 - Build date 1989 9289 October 16 Tuesday 0060327 0060423 - Build date 1989 9317 November 13 Monday 0060442 - Build date 1989 9317 November 13 Monday 0060549 - Build date 1989 9319 November 15 Wednesday 0060712 - Build date 1989 9321 November 17 Friday Snowthrower 44in 1990 2-stage 06-44SC01 OM TIPL DNA SN.pdf - Snow Blowers - RedSquare Wheel Horse Forum @gwest_ca
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,121 #3 Posted Thursday at 05:00 AM The blank box at the bottom of the decal would have had a 4-digit Julian build date but it has faded. That is what helps us date the product since Wheel Horse never published serial numbers and Toro never started until 1991. As you can see the 1990 models started production in October 1989. Added your serial. Click on the picture in this link.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,121 #4 Posted Thursday at 05:13 AM If you have the model number off the decal for the 416-8 search our files using that number. 416-8 is the model name. Or you can search for info on the tractor by using the model year - that is how the files are grouped. When you click on the blank search box a drop down menu appears. Select files and enter the model number. You can also search for 416-8 but will get too many results. The results will come up in random order so look through them all which can be on more that one page. There will be a D&A file which is the product Details and the Attachment list That will give you the model numbers for products that fit your application. The 8-xxxxxx attachment numbers are sometimes listed as 8xxxxxx so try both ways.

GWNORTH 1 #6 Posted Sunday at 09:53 PM I took the Augers off the blower and saw that the previous owner had used regular 3" long bolts through the augers. The toro parts lookup shows - 11 HEX HEAD (HH) SCREW Part #: 322-14 The same on Parts Tree. So, it appears that there are no Shear bolts for this unit? Perhaps that's why the Impeller was mangled so bad. Does anyone know where to get 3" Long shear bolts for the auger(s) on the 44" 2 stage blower?
