Steel wire diameter

Recommended Posts

Hi , Happy New Year Everyone. I need the wire that attaches from the plow angle handle to the little bracket below that allows you to angle the blade. It’s a thin wire , I thought I’d ask before buying a bunch of different sizes for trial and error.  Thanks

@PhilD   note , how elastic lock nuts , hold perfect movement setting , also strive for squeeze lever , zero play , for maximum rod to  steering quadrant movement pull  , lubricate as you go , like penetrating oil and red spray grease , that plow can and should move with total solid ease , sound like a rifle bolt . hitch pin clips at rear axel lever stops , pete

I just measured the wire on my plow and it measures 0.122” or about 8 gauge. A coat hanger measures 0.090” or about 11 gauge wire. There is 9 gauge project wire at Lowe’s that would work for you.
