Just running regular bolts but a guy could take some regular mild steel ones and grind down a groove in them in the right spot. Seriously? You’d risk a gearbox by using regular bolts or homemade shear bolts? Less than $1.50 each at lots of places. I’ve probably replaced four or five. Mostly to branches hidden under the snow, but once to the plastic bag-wrapped newspaper.

RJC1965 170 #28 Posted January 3 I used bailer belt a 12in piece from Fleet Farm was $8.00 and I did my WH 44 in and my walk behind blower. I feel it shows it stuff on the wetter snowfalls never had either one clog up. On the 44in it may over blow on real light snow but it’s not a big deal. That guy shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a snowblower! My neighbor, who is far from mechanical, was so pleased with himself, too! A little knowledge can be a problem, right?
NA73 82 #32 Posted January 6 I'll add this, the 2-stage 46" bervac that was made for toro/wheelhorse was listed at a little over 300lbs - but in that kit, it included 150lbs of suitcase weights. not sure if the toro version included any weights. I highly doubt the actual snowblower is 300+ lbs.
