2 front wooden wheels!

My first Wheel horse had a single wooden gage wheel. PO couldn't figure out why it wouldn't mow evenly...

Whoever made your scalp wheels definitely did a good job!

All the rollers on my old 48" deck are  Dogwood with with 1/2" oillite bushings. Some have been on thirty years, the couple I have replaced that came off and the deck ran over them.

Might notice the modified cast iron pulleys on the metric spindles they are original to the deck. That tapered roller the bracket was not right when the deck was new.

Thank you! Another thing that bugs me is, the starter is dry! (And a pain to get to!). Just spray some graphite down there? I have already changed the oil, just about to change the plugs. I noticed the front half of the fuel line was new. Have a baseline for the tractor, you know! You have to put your foot under the brake and drag it back when braking. probably the neutral return spring.

I bought my 44'' 2 stage when it was a year old, model  # 79361 Never seen a grease fitting on the front gearbox. Manual calls for SAE 90 gear oil. I use Corn Head Grease in the rear gearbox and oil the drive chain. I use a spray type lube for motorcycle chains or Chesterton chain lube. Nice Rig    @AHS    Good Luck with it.

Yes!!! There have been many people interested in the 417, in fact many people contacted the previous owner after he had taken the post down!!! The 417 will not be going anywheres near marketplace as long as I own it!!!!!!

So, @JCM sae 90 is a little bit thinner than grease. Come to think of it, the front ones never go bad…. It is. Just the rear ones!!
