@stevasaurus   found it !   this is the way you remove deck pulleys / spindles , note pictures for leverage . bolt  points under pulleys , penetrating oil , pulleys lift right off,  off , also regularly refer to spindle bearings , those 6203 / similar are also a very common ceiling bearing , with pathetic light duty grease , the spindle whyining is telling you of lube failure , regular for me to , carefully remove side shields , wipe out / flush with carb cleaner , re pack with  lucas green xtra HD chassis grease , also do the same on mule drive bearings , tell me how that works . if you look at the top of deck to pulley side picture , you will see a flat idler pulley up against the very long unsupported deck drive belt , not belt bounce , using this set up for years , bombproof , went after every stage , and made it better , 2 wonder bars on top of spindle deck mount bolts , snug fit on both leverage wonder bar swing outward solid leverage , put inside of W/B edge up against the pulley down slide area .  pulley lift off is solid smooth , this entire set up was a look / see , for me , once verified , added steps to every related bearing failure area , 12 bearings alone on mule drive , this works , pete

Pete -- bought the wonder ( pry ) bars at your suggestion last year -- they have been nice tools to have for multiple uses but still could not get the fozen pulleys off the 42 rd deck -- thats why ultimately i had to cut off

Bars are good suggestion and likely will remove many rusted pulleys -- but not the two i couldnt remove -- UGH !!

@Brockport Bill   thanks for the reply , wow that set up must have been solid rust , something I have been doing on any, possible rust area , is to use the natural vibration of the tractor , to get a penetrant into , long frozen , anything . like upper pulley top nut removal , and a kroil soak , that also works very well , on a rear hub removal  plan remove set screws , at  12 noon location , so lube can set and hold yo the axel / threading area , maybe a dead blow hammer , to assist . before doing my mower decks , would start   kroil  soaking anything  weeks out , sure enough , just about anything had  a wet rust tracking , coming from it .never liked the idea of a , puller on those spindles , thats their weakest point ! personally was amazed  at how easily those pulleys moved off , very solid , smooth . often refer to something I have tried / experimented with . never expect it to initially work , my war on corrosion , has been constant , why not try something ?  hope you and yours had a good christmas , pete

Same thing here, likely parted out 50+ decks over the last few years. Pry bars might work 10% of the time on these styles of pulleys.....even after soaking/ heating for days or even weeks.
