cleat 6,730 #1 Posted December 26, 2024 These are some presents I bought for myself this Christmas. I had already bought this 416 and have it in my mother-in-law's car port. I wrapped it up to protect it and it sort of looks like a giant Christmas present. These are on a promotion with almost 30% knocked off the price so I bought one. I have a few large reciprocating saws but this is my first one handed model. It came as a tool only but I already have the batteries and blades here. My wife and I basically do not buy gifts for each other any more so we can just get what we want. 8

I have 2 up to 12ah batteries here and use the smaller ones when I can just because they are lighter. Nice to have the capacity for a big job when needed.

Mickwhitt 4,796 #6 Posted December 26, 2024 I made this pendant for Mrs W as a Christmas gift. Two part, press together Titanium frame holding a pearl disc on one side and an ivory disc on the other. I got typical old guy gifts lol, socks, pants, pyjamas that kind of essential stuff. stevasaurus 22,914 #8 Posted December 26, 2024 We are kind of in the "Give Me a 12 Yard Dumpster" for Christmas anymore. So, we do gifts you have to use and can't store. So, My Very Marry Christmas consisted of a Huge Basket of Christmas Spirits...a bottle of 12 year old Singleton Single Malt Scotch, a fifth of Mercantile Vodka (made in the USA), a 1.75 L bottle of Kahlu'a...this should last until next Christmas, An Excellent bottle of Authentic Blue Agave Tequila Silver Patro'n and an assortment (6) 14oz of selected Venison/Pork Salami's from John's meat market in Illinois and Stone Ridge meats Wisconsin. Top Shelf...life is good !! I did get one of those grabber thingys so I can go out and pick up the morning paper without bending over. This is the most useful thing and I needed it. We did get an assortment of gorme' popcorn and Da Bears are playing tonight (Thursday), but we decided not to waste is.

stevasaurus 22,914 #10 Posted December 26, 2024 @squonk, check out videos on You-Tube for repairing that floor jack...it is usually just replacing "O" rings. As I remember, I saw some on the Garage Journel site.

As I remember, I saw some on the Garage Journel site. It doesn't leak. The valve seat is shot. I have to crank it closed so tight just to get it to lift, I can't release it. It's a Sears 2 ton I got in HS. Weighs a ton. I want an aluminum one anyway as the heavy stuff is a burden to use anymore. I've had one of those grabbers for years. Used it to change filters on big AHU's. Super handy to have around. 4 hours ago, WHX?? said: Mine is the M12 version and needs the bigger battery but still very handy. I got a few of the bigger AH batteries for the Milwaukee 12V 1/4 ratchet I have. I'm overhauling all of the pneumatic tube system stations at the hospital. Lots of 11/32" nuts to remove. 1
squonk 41,649 #12 Posted December 26, 2024 We lost one of our dogs in September. I've not been handling it to well. My wife got this statue at the thrift store she works at. Didn't come with the bench. The day after she got the statue the bench showed up. They were made for each other. A coat of poly on the bench and it will go on our porch. 2

Got her this along with some lobster tails...sadly had to sell a 856 to afford it tho ... Needless to say I had to help her out with it ... Thought @Achto was coming over so left it mooing when done. Felt so bad about the 856 had to buy myself these ... Edited December 27, 2024 by WHX?? 3

ML3 1,362 #24 Posted December 27, 2024 Christmas was low key this year. My kids are 18 & 21 so they kinda have outgrown it. Still spent time together with them at my aunts on Christmas Eve & again brunch at my sisters Christmas Day. My parents are getting older & the running all over is just too tiring for them. Also in the last 3 weeks we had 5 deaths. Started with a friend of my parents of over 60+yrs. He battled rheumatoid arthritis & last few years bone cancer. Next was my uncle @87yrs old. Last weekend was my mom's real estate partner of over 30yrs. Christmas Eve had another uncle pass from consecutive heart attacks after getting a "clean bill of health" from Dr 2 days prior. Lastly, Christmas morning my 104yr old grandmother passed. It was not unexpected. She defied the odds eating anything, drinking tons of Mt Dew & Dr Pepper, strong 8 o'clock coffee, & smoking 2pks of Pall Mall non filters since she was 11yrs old. Think grandma discovered the fountain of youth?? Oh...also she was a mean, nasty old woman too.
Mickwhitt 4,796 #25 Posted January 2 The screwdriver set I ordered for Christmas has finally arrived, very slow boat from China. It's obviously been put together for folk who take mobile phones apart for repair etc. It has a multitude of bits, tweezers, sockets and special pry bars and the like to open cases or remove screens, there's even a suction cup that is for pulling the cases apart after you heat them with a hair dryer. The handset is good quality and feeks to have plenty of torque (three separate settings) and it charges using a phone charger. All contained in a kit box that looks like it would be at home on the Minellium Falcon! 2
