kpinnc 12,394 #2 Posted September 11, 2009 There is an internal strainer, but it is no longer available as a replacement. It it has clogged up, all you can do is try and use compressed air to remove as much debris as you can. Do this FAR away from the internal workings of the tranny. If you haven't already done so, I would get a copy of the automatic tranny repair manual. It may be included in your tractor's available manuals from Toro.com as a free download. You can also check the Yahoo manuals group- I'm sure they have one you can download. It's about 80 pages long (don't remember exactly), and is a GREAT source of info for your transmission.
