PTO ELECTRICAL ISSUE

Recommended Posts

Wheelhorse#1

I recently wired my C-101 for a older K301 generator start engine. Its currently running and running as it should except when I engage the lever for the PTO bell, it shuts the engine down:huh:

The Original  PTO interlock  switch is still wired. The diagram I used didn't include a interlock switch.

All other safety switches were deleted by the PO.

Anyone have any ideas what may be the issue here ? Thanks

Id like to keep the PTO wired in to prevent starting wile engaged .

Did you use a solenoid or did you use the heavy duty switch WH used on S/Gs?

I believe when you delete the seat switch, you have to connect the wires together to simulate a operator sitting on the seat and closing the switch. See if the seat wires are still connected. If they are not the engine would shut down when engaging the PTO
