  I’m not a fan of eBay at all. I usually order my tires from Tire Rack. Just received these on wheels all mounted and balanced. 
  Check the date code on those eBay tires, hope they aren’t “old tires” that didn’t sell and ended up on eBay

I am leery of purchasing tires from one vendor & having another do the mounting & balancing. Too much wiggle room for finger pointing if one or more tires have an issue later. But read on...

Tire Rack - serves a genuine purpose, but I was not thrilled with their quality of the wheels. I bought my Ford Focus new in the spring of 2015. I wanted a set of mounted "Winter" tires in the fall. Seems that TR's steel 15" wheel fits the car & tire, but NOT the hubcap!! So, I bought a good used set of 16" OE Ford wheels for that...

 

Ebay tires - if you ask ahead of the purchase, a reputable dealer will inform you of the Month and Year of Manufacture on the ones you intend to buy. Four years into ownership and 2 of my 4 17" Focus summer tires needed to be replaced, but the tire was discontinued. Found 2 new ones well within the lifespan & had them installed at a local Garage.

I have always bought my truck and car tires at my local tire shop. Obviously they would mount and balance them. If I had a problem I’d bring it back to them. Back when I owned heavy trucks I would buy tires and mount them myself, still have the tools! Large tractor tires with calcium I would have them handle. But buying tires online somewhere and bringing them to a tire shop to have them mounted, to me is like bringing a steak to a restaurant and asking them to cook it !! Just my opinion.

Bought two trailer tires and the seller took photos of the date codes of the actual tires I bought prior to my purchase.

I had to get new tires for my truck about 2 years ago and did my shopping. The lowest price I found anywhere on the tires I really wanted was too low to advertise, and so I had to put them in the cart to see it. I would have saved a whopping $4 on the set vs buying them retail at work.

 

I did some more shopping and found a set of Ironmans that I like at a whole-sale distributor for $96/tire. So far I have nothing to complain about with them.

I buy my tires from a couple of brothers who run their independent tire shop.  They're only three miles down the road and started their shop when the one they worked for was sold out to a chain.  

 

I bought Michelins for my pickup from them.  They rotate for free, They replaced tires on my mower.  The have patched several tires for me-for free.  I've always gave them something.  This past week James swapped out three rubber valve stems for brass ones on my camper after a neighbor gave me a tire pressure system from their camper they sold.  When I asked James how much, "Nothing, Phil, you'll be back."  I laid $20 on the work bench.  

 

These fellows provide a service to our community.  There is almost always a tractor tire ready for mounting.  They rented their shop when a tractor business closed after the owner retired. I've bought tires from the internet but I do my best to help out my neighbors.

Finding someone you trust for anything related to vehicle maintenance is a big deal. I have a friend who runs a shop, and he does all my maintenance on every vehicle we have. 
 

Many years ago my wife found a very good deal for tires at a big box store that had a garage. When she got the car home, she said it really drove strange and asked me to look at it. All four tires were different sizes! Largest was a 235/70, smallest was a 185/75. Of course they were the same make, and those differences weren’t really clear to the naked eye. 
 

Her truck got a much nicer set of tires and a lengthy apology after she went back, but had we not looked it might have been weeks before we found it. 
 

Since then, nobody touches my vehicles that I don’t trust.

My mechanic prefers I order from Tire Rack and have tires shipped to him for mounting and balancing.  Saves him time and effort ordering the tire I want...

I couldn't do that, so I went to school to become the guy I trusted.

 

With very few exceptions for very minor things nobody but me has worked on any of my vehicles since 2008.
